Universal Angels Network teams up with Sakya Care Foundation
Universal Angels Network (UAN), a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian relief and assistance to those in need around the world, donated $2000 to Sakya Care Foundation (SCF) for the 2018 Medical Mission to Vietnam. The money was designated to help the underserved children. Fundings from UAN and other donnors were used for: five hundred “USA” T-shirts for 500 outstanding school students from underserved areas around Cai Lậy rural district; school supplies for 180 children at Bồ Đề Phương Duy, a boarding school for orphanages and underserved children in Long An Province; rice and milk for 96 children in an orphange at Kim Phước Temple in Cai Lậy rural district.
UAN also has an “Angels in Training” program with The Buddhist Youth Association and the Vietnamese school at Linh Sơn Temple in Austin, TX. Children in these groups collect change for their Angel Bank. The money from this program goes directly to SCF for its missions inside and outside the US. For the first 5 months of 2019, Angles in Training from Linh Sơn Temple donated $1000 to SCF
