Sakya Care Foundation is excited to announce our Seventh Parahita* International Humanitarian Project to India from Oct 31st, 2025 to Nov 8th, 2025

*Parahita is the Sanskrit term meaning ‘action for the benefit of others.’

Our First Parahita Mission Trip to Bodh Gaya, India, in 2015.  Our Second Overseas Mission to Binh Dinh, Ban Me Thuot, and Daklak, Vietnam, in 2016.  And our Third Overseas Mission to the Mekong Delta region of southern Vietnam in 2018 was of great success.  Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we must cancel our fourth mission to Vietnam and Cambodia. We returned to India for our fifth mission post-pandemic in 2023 followed by Vietnam mission in 2024. This year, 2025, we will again return to Bodhgaya, India.

For these missions, our participating volunteers/members – physicians, dentists, optometrists, pharmacists, nurses, etc. provided compassionate medical, dental, and vision care to thousands and thousands of impoverished people.  Besides free medical care, each patient who came to the clinic – adults and children alike – also received a little gift of necessities like rice, oil, noodles, clothing, a backpack, and money.  (See pictures of our previous clinics below.)

We would love to invite you to join us for this upcoming Parahita Medical Mission to Bodhgaya, India

PAYMENT:

1. Full payment is required at time of registration.
2. If cancel before or by 6/1/2025, 50% refund.
3. Cancellation on or after 6/2/2025, there is no refund.

The mission fee includes the following:

Lodging in 4+ star hotels or equivalent (double occupancy)

Three meals per day

Local transportation daily from the hotel to the clinic site and back

Clinic associated cost

Other logistics.

*** If professional, we need a copy of your license in English for registration purposes in India as soon as possible.

We are looking for all medical and non-medical volunteers to assist in various tasks throughout the project.  Please check your busy schedule, arrange for time off, and join us for a fantastic trip oversea.  We look forward to seeing you and working together for a worthy cause helping the underserved.

Medical: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine/Subspecialists, Emergency Medicine, Pain Medicine, GYN, Pediatric

Pharmacy and Nursing: Pharmacist, RN, LVN, CNA.

Dental: General dentists, Dental Hygienist, Dental and Xray Technician

Vision: Optometrist, Ophthalmologist, Optician, and Optical Tech

Age: 18 years old and above

Deadline to register: June 1st, 2025. Please email us at info@sakyacare.org if you are interested but could not sign up by the deadline. 

1.  If cancel before June 1st, 50% refund

2.  If cancel on or after June 2nd , NO REFUND.  Your money will pay for cancellation fees, and the rest donates to the mission.

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  We implement this cancellation policy to help other wait-listers have enough time to arrange their schedules.  Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.
