Humanitarian Projects

f2 Dear all,

Sakya Care Foundation is excited to announce its two new projects for 2015: Parahita* Humanitarian Project. Parahita means action for the benefit of others.

This year, we will have one short trip to Vietnam, working with local NGO “Hội Sự Nghiệp Từ Thiện Minh Đức” to bring holistic health care to 5000 people in the underserved impoverish village of Vĩnh Thạnh Bình Định, Việt Nam. The project will be held on March 6-9, 2015. Cost will be $500 plus your own airfare to Bình Định, Việt Nam.

The second project will be in India at Bodh Gaya (Bồ Đề Đạo Tràng) for a 14-day trip. Bodh Gaya is located in the poorest state of India, called Bihar and most people here do not have access to proper health care on the daily basis. Carrying the name SAKYA, the famous last name of Prince Siddhartha, who attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree at Bodh Gaya and became Buddha, our 501c3 nonprofit organization would like to follow his footstep and bringing holistic health care to Bodh Gaya, not only to help those in need but to pay respect to our dearest father, the Buddha of all. Please see below for details of this trip. If you are interested in getting to know more information or to register for the trip, please email info@sakyacare.org or click here to register HUMANITARIAN MISSION VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION. Cost will be $1500 for early bird plus your own airfare to New Delhi, India. These cost will cover your local transportation (plane, bus), room and board, 3 meals per day and local attraction tour. If register after July 31st 2015, cost will be $2000.

We are looking for all volunteers, medical and non-medical, to assist in various tasks throughout the event. Please look at your busy schedule and sign up to spend a trip with us for a good cause! Looking forward to seeing you at both events!
