Parahita* Humanitarian Project is an overseas medical mission that usually lasted for 10-12 days , without counting the travel time from the US to the destination country. Sakya’s very first mission to Bodh Gaya, India in 2015 only consisted of 7 members delivered care to more than 1000 patients during the trip. We were featured on the front page of a Indian newspaper that week. Sakya received many requests to return and serve the most impoverished population of India at Bihar states. Following our first successful humanitarian mission, we continued to thrive and recruited more volunteers for each subsequent events. Sakya currently has a dedicated team of 30-50 professional and supporting staff from the US. We typically partner with local professional organizations to ensure the proper permit is obtained and local laws are followed. This compliance ensures that Sakya is welcome back for future missions.
We are looking for professional volunteers from medical, dental, vision and eastern medicine. We encourage young students** to join us on these missions to cultivate the seed of compassion in the early age. Please check below for upcoming humanitarian mission trips.
